The researches and applied studies related to the financial and
banking activities are considered to be a vital part of the Institute's
activities. In this context, the Research Unit in IBS performs systematic and
analytical studies in different fields: Financial, Credit, Marketing,
Investment, Management, Organization, Economy, Human Resources Development,
Electronic Banks, etc. The research studies of the Institute are focused on
those subjects of importance and relevance to as many member banks as possible.
These projects often require the co-operation and information sharing between
the banks, Central Bank, other agencies like Kuwait Stock Exchange, CINET, etc.
for their successful implementation. The Research and Studies committee with
representatives from the banks guides the overall policy of research. Many
special research committees with nominees from the banks provide support,
guidance and consultation for individual research projects.
So far the Research Unit has released (85) Research studies.
