CERTIFICATE IN INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT (CIM)

As part of the continuing development of investment department staff in the banking sector the Training Unit continues to offer a series of training programs under the title ' Certificate in Investment Management'. This Programs is designed to familiarize participants with the fundamental concepts of Investments, the structure of Money and Capital Market. It will help participants to understand the concept of common stock, valuations, the bond market, its operation, and its risks as well as interest rate risk.

These Programs seek to develop staff who are new to the investment department.

The main focus is on practicalities with a flexible approach to ensure the Program Objectives are met.

Target Audience
New Staff to Investment Department

Timings
The modules will be conducted at the institute of Banking Studies, Programs will be held from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm, Sunday through Thursday.

Exams
This Program has 4 modules consisting of 12 courses. The first module has two (2) courses, pass mark for each course is 70%. There will be no re-sits, make up Exams, etc. The pass mark for the remaining module is a cumulative total of 70%.

PROGRESS

	Other Criteria
	Attandance : Attendance at every session is a pre-requisite of Certificate issue. Reports : Punctually, participations, quality of input, initiative, teamwork etc. will, where appropriate, be reported upon. Language : All modules will be presented in English.

Overall responsibility and final decision will be solely with the Institute of Banking Studies.
