CERTIFICATE IN CREDIT MANAGEMENT (CCM)

As part of the continuing development of credit department staff in the banking sector the Training Unit continues to offer a series of training programs under the title ' Certificate in Credit Management'

These programs seek to develop staff who are new into a credit department with no previous credit analysis experience into competent credit staff.

The main focus is on practicalities with a flexible approach to ensure the Program Objectives are met.

In order to meet the needs of the banks the Certificate commences in January of each year finishing November. This period actually covers two Training Years - which run September to June - but this scheduling has a major benefit in allowing the participants the opportunity to undertake on job training during the summer months.

Therefore the first four programs of the 2006/2007 Training Year will complete the training of those participants who commenced studying in January 2006 with the new trainees starting their Program in January 2007.

	Target Audience
	New Staff to Credit Departments

	Timings
	The modules will be conducted at the institute of Banking Studies, Programs will be held from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm, Sunday through Thursday.

	Exams
	Each Module will be subject to examination. The pass marks for each exam is 70%. There will be no re-sits, make up Exams etc.

PROGRESS

	Other Criteria
	Attandance Attendance at every session is a pre-requisite of Certificate issue. Reports Punctuality, participations, quality of input, initiative, teamwork etc. will, where appropriate, be reported upon.

	Language
	All modules will be presented in English except Legal Aspects of Lending, which will be presented in Arabic. Overall responsibility and final decission will be solely with Institute of Banking Studies.
